Do they just like to hear themselves speak? In a conference setting there seems to always be someone who tries to put themselves in the middle of the lecture. This is very annoying to me and is very distracting. I start to pick out flaws in the person and have a hard time concentrating on the lecture.
In the classroom we come across these children all the time. It is one of my flaws to be so judgmental. I am trying to figure out how to interact with this type of person and facilitate positive interactions. What can I do to keep these children on task without sqwelching their contributions?
